The three contact points grip the copper conductor more securely than a conventional two-prong design, while the gold-plated contact surface supports reliable electrical performance and signal integrity. The S45-1050 is designed for 24 AWG solid shielded Cat5e cable with compatible conductor diameters from 0.95mm to 1.05mm. It also supports 28-26 AWG stranded shielded Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6a cables, making it suitable for a range of shielded LAN and patch-cord applications. The internal design allows the cable to extend farther into the plug, helping reduce the length of untwisted conductors and improve crosstalk performance. The fully shielded construction and 3-prong gold-plated contacts also make the plugs suitable for PoE/PoH applications. The S45-1050 is UL and cUL listed, UL94 V0 commercial rated, and supports professional installations using compatible CMP Plenum, CMR, CM, and LSZH LAN cables.
