This is my honest review. I'm from India. I received different item what published on product page. Maybe it's available only in America. For my location i received this item(image attached). Looks like Hiffins magic arm. But it is V. Good quality. It comes with 2 clamp and one magic arm . It's good for indoor and outdoor shoots . Not suitable for mounting outside a car or something which is fast moving especially with a digital camera mounted. Works well with action camera , 360 cameras, weighing under 500g. You can use 1kg or over 1 kg but for handheld or slow movements only . The knob is kind a less grip to tighten but ok This is not a professional use in outdoor car shoot. Overall this does the job. Can't complain.

I recieved the PellKing Magic Arm Clamp Kit to add some flexibility to my camera and lighting setup, and I’m genuinely impressed with how well this kit is made for the price.The super clamps are very sturdy and grip securely to tables, tubes, desk edges and lights without slipping. Once tightened down they tend to stay put (just be careful as it can leave marks or dents on some surfaces). The articulating arm moves smoothly but you just need to make sure you loosen it enough to properly adjust it.The arms lock firmly in place once you tighten them down and its easy to position a camera, light, or monitor exactly where you want it. The 1/4" screw and hole are standard and compatible with all of my gear making setup quick and easy.Build quality is better than I expected. Nothing feels questionable or flimsy. It easily supports smaller cameras including action cams, mini lights, and accessories without sagging. I also like how compact the kit is making it easy to carry around for daily use. Its also easy to store and put away.Overall, this is a very practical and reliable mounting solution that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. If you need a flexible clamp and arm system for cameras or accessories, this kit is a great value and easy to recommend.5 Stars!

This magic arm and clamp kit can be a bit tricky to position at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's extremely handy, versatile, and functional. The kit comes in 3 distinct pieces: 2 clamps, and the magic arm itself. The clamps each have both a 1/4" and a 3/8" universal screw mount, so they can be used on or with pretty much any of the other camera or audio gear you have. The magic arm uses a 1/4" inch screw on either end. It's nice to be able to disassemble everything and orient them so they have a smaller footprint for easy storage.The tricky part I mentioned is due to how the ball joints work on both ends of the magic arm. At the center pivot point of the arm is a knob screw. Loosening this knob screw is what allows you to position the angle of the magic arm. But, it also simultaneously controls the position of the ball joints at the ends of the magic arm. So, when you're setting the angle of the arm, the ball joints will be loose and spin freely, and when you tighten the central knob screw to lock the angle, the ball joints will also lock.Because of this, I found the best way to position the arm and clamps to be a 3 step process. First, loosen the knob screw, set the angle of the arm, then tighten to lock the angle. Then, while maintaining the angle of the arm, you have to loosen the screw to adjust the pivot and position of one end's ball joint, tighten again. Repeat for the other ball joint. It's easier done than explained, and you generally figure it out on the fly when you're trying to position the arm.The clamps have rubber pads on the inner face to help with grip, and can expand to accommodate around 2.625 inches. The description states they open to a maximum of 61mm or ~2.4 inches, but I found it's actually a bit more. Since the magic arm and the clamps are all almost fully aluminum, the full kit has a bit of heft to it. It's noticeably a bit heavy for its size, which helps with feeling durable, but can be something to consider when you're trying to travel light.I mainly use the magic arm to hold an additional key light on my tripod. Some lights I own don't have a proper or working screw mount, and I've found the clamps are great at holding on to both the lights and either my tripod or pretty much any other surface it can reach around.I find that $30 can be kind of a steep price for a magic arm of this size, but the full metal and rigid build quality really stands out in comparison to stuff that is cheaper. Overall, this is a great kit that can fit in a small footprint, and can see as many uses as you can imagine for it.

I tried this arm on my husband’s power chair to see if it could hold a small umbrella for shade. We live in Arizona so keeping the sun off him is the main goal. At first the ball joints kept shifting, but once I tightened the main knob all the way it locked in and stayed where I wanted it. After that I could angle the umbrella in different directions depending on the time of day.I also clipped a small lightweight fan onto the straight part of the arm and that worked without pulling anything loose. The umbrella gives him shade and the fan adds airflow which helps a lot out here.Another nice thing is I can fold the umbrella down when we come back inside and leave everything attached. I don’t have to remove the arm each time which makes it quicker to use for short trips.I wouldn’t use it for heavy items or on windy days, but for light accessories like this it does the job and has plenty of adjustability.

Good quality build and solid value for the money. The clamps hold tight and the arm adjusts smoothly. Description shows black and silver, but the one I got is all black, which honestly looks even better and cleaner. Great for mounting cameras, lights, or even small tools to a workbench. Feels very durable and professional for the price.

Super nice mounting arm. Its smaller than I imagined from the photos, but its really nice. Each piece is super heavy. I was really frustrated at first because I couldn't figure out how to tighten the ball/spinning pieces, I turned them both ways for an eternity, trying to figure out which way would tighten it. I gave up, thinking that maybe they just stay that way and don't tighten and are meant to rotate freely during use. But I accidentally realized that they tighten when you tighten the main rotation point of the arms! Super cool actually. When you determine the angle you want the two long arms at and tighten that joint, it also tightens the two ball rotating points.I love the versatility of the clamps, because you can add them onto a pole or a table. Just be really careful clamping them on to a table, I ended up making dents on my craft table, thinking I had to tighten it as much as possible, because I have seveal table clamping lamps and phone mounts that wiggle so much that I have to tighten them a ton. I realized that the grip these clamps have is really good, and you don't have to tighten it much at all to get it to stay put.Another thing I am really happy with is that the point where the two long arms meet has teeth/gears that come together so that they won't budge at all once you pick a placement/angle you want them at. That means no wiggling around while you are using it. This is important for me because I take photos of tiny pieces of jewerly for my business, and I have to tap the screen to focus the camera, and even the smallest wiggle of the phone will make the photo blurry. So the steadiness is a very necessary feature.I love the simplicity and versatility of this. The pieces are super solid and heavy. Everything's super easy to use.

A very handy, versatile, articulating arm, especially for photographers. I will have a million uses for this.Pros: it’s sturdy for its small size and then middle knob locks and unlocks everything for positioning. One knob fast adjust similar to the larger and more expensive Manfrotto arm. It clamps to a table or vertical post, tripod leg, etc. Can be positioned at nearly any angle you choose. It’ll hold a phone or small camera, tool, light, etc.Cons: instead of including a small tripod ball head, they give you a second jaw clamp. This makes little sense to me but some will probably find it useful. I attached my tripod-mount phone holder for the pics (holder NOT included) and it worked like a champ. The padded jaws are not padded enough and will scratch a tabletop, so a protective cardboard shim is advised. When loosening the main knob to reposition, the joint where the two arms meet has serrated teeth, so you have to loosen it enough for the teeth to skip over each other until you're at your preferred angle, then tighten to secure. Higher end arms don't have this serrated joint and are easier and faster to adjust, but they cost many times more than this one.Advice: Get a cheap small ball head for even more flexibility, but its 1/4”-20 screw will attach to any camera or a variety of other things. The jaws are threaded for 1/4” and 3/8” which is the photographer’s standard. It's a sweet and versatile little arm.

This thing works great. I use it to hold a 4 foot led light strip.

Love this. I am using for my needle work. Holds the frame perfectly and is very easy to adjust. It also can be used to hold my phone for tracing with my Davinchi app.

So far I’m a fan of this magic arm clamp. I have one or two others of these, and this is built just as well, feels hefty, strong, and has a good grip and hold securely. Knobs are easy to turn and rotate the arms to the position you need, and the clamps have a good grip. Everything stays in place right where you need it, holding your lights or anything else you might want.

Works great and is of good quality. Would trust it on a pro set! Nothing bad to say about it.

Good solid grip with no drift. Thumb screw on the primary elbow is a little stiff but I prefer that to being too loose.The clamps lock and hold well- I'm using them for holding elements in the background of a series of photos and I'm completely happy with them. My friends will tell you that I am actually rarely happy, so if I could give this thing six stars I probably would.All in all it does what it's supposed to do which is perhaps a low bar but here we are.Works great and easy to adjust. It can hold many different things so you can use it in lots of situations.

Let's be honest, if you're looking at this, you already know what you're looking for.This is functional hardware that holds up to the 2 kg weight claim, in fact I probably put more than 2 kg of pressure on it once tightened and it held on, and boy does it hold on. It holds tighter than a kid being sent off to kindergarten on the first day. If you're looking for something to support your equipment it will support your stuff better than your ex supported your photography career.
