The short 3-1/2" loop allows, when not in use, it to be loosely fastened to any cord like a ring, without having to wind down any redundant loop.

The soft-side of RIP-TIE mini is knitted loop and the hard-side is molded hooks. To fasten any cable bundle, position tie with the soft loop side out. This makes it easier to pull the entire length of cable wrap through the slot.
