BNC (coaxial) series communication signal surge protector is designed according to IEC standard. The circuit adopts a two-stage linkage protection scheme, the latter stage starts to clamp, and the former stage bleeds current; the inter-electrode capacitance is low, the insertion loss is small, and the bleeder current is large. The working voltage of the BNC coaxial connector is 5V.
Under normal circumstances, the surge protector is in a high-impedance state, which does not cause any impact on signal transmission. When lightning, surge voltage or other over-voltages occur, the surge protector is automatically turned on and grounded, and automatically recovers after the lightning. Excessive voltage will not be applied to the equipment to cause damage or malfunction. In order to discharge the lightning current to the ground as soon as possible, the BNC signal surge protector has a good ground. Its ground resistance should be less than 4W.
