The standard SFP+ form factor supports hot plugging for convenient installation and replacement without shutting down equipment. A fully metallic housing helps reduce electromagnetic interference, while digital diagnostics monitoring via the SFF-8472 interface provides access to operating data such as optical power, temperature, voltage, and laser bias current. This transceiver operates on 3.3 V with maximum power consumption of 1.0 W and is rated for temperatures from 32 to 158°F.
