• This is where this cute chip TXB0104 bidirectional level converter comes in handy! The chip performs bidirectional level conversion from almost any voltage to any voltage and automatically detects direction.
• Due to the fact that the chip is a special bidirectional level converter, it does not have powerful output pins that can drive LEDs or long cables, so it should be located on the breadboard between two logic chips!
• We have also added 0.1uF capacitors on both sides and a 10K pull-up resistor on the output enable pin, so you can use it out of the box!

Description:
1. Although resistors can be used to make voltage dividers, for high-speed transmission, resistors will increase a lot of conversion and cause serious damage that is difficult to debug. Therefore, we prefer to use the 4050/74LVX245 series and similar logic to perform appropriate level transitions. The only issue is that they are only effective in a direction, which can be a problem for certain special bidirectional interfaces and also make wiring a bit cumbersome.
2. This is where this cute chip TXB0104 bidirectional level converter comes in handy! The chip performs bidirectional level conversion from almost any voltage to any voltage and automatically detects direction.
3. The only thing that the chip cannot work well on is the i2c (because it uses strong pull-up, which can confuse the automatic direction sensor) or control lines with a large number of capacitors. If you need to use pull-up resistors, that's possible, but they should be at least 50K ohms - AVR/Ard's internal pull-up resistors are about 100K ohms, so all of these are fine!
